A beardie, being a desert/scrub lizard, needs a period of hot "sun" and cooler temps at night. WebBeardies don't need heat at night unless your house is getting under 70° F at night. And if it does, have the heating pad to only heat to about 75° F and DO NOT under any circumstance EVER use a heating pad without a thermostat that controls the heat. And even then regularly check the temperature with a temp gun.
